Carla’s Turn is a foundation built on a simple promise: We will not let her journey end in silence. We are turning our grief into a movement to raise awareness, support families in the trenches of caregiving, and fund the research that will ensure future generations don't have to face this "long goodbye." Alzheimer’s may have the moment, but we have the mission. This is Carla’s Turn.

A woman who embodied strength and glamour, grit and grace. She walked into a room and you felt it — not because she demanded attention, but because she carried herself with confidence, intelligence, and authenticity. She was an actress, a fitness author, and a respected celebrity manager. But more than her titles, Carla was real. In an industry full of façades, she cut through the noise. She didn’t tolerate fake. She didn’t play games. She was sharp, honest, and unapologetically herself. Beyond her accomplishments, Carla was fiercely devoted to her children and grandchildren. They were her greatest joy. She made time, she showed up, she listened without judgment, and she offered advice grounded in wisdom and love. She was the kind of woman you could bring anything to — and leave stronger. Elegant, glamorous — yet underneath was resilience, loyalty, and an unshakable work ethic. If you were her friend or family, you knew it: she fought for you. When Alzheimer’s began to take hold, it targeted one of her greatest gifts — her brilliant mind. But even as memory and words faded, her fire, dignity, and strength remained. Her essence never disappeared. Carla Ferrigno did not live a small life. She lived boldly. She loved fiercely. She set a standard. And that standard is her legacy. Carla’s Turn exists to honor that legacy — raising funds for Alzheimer’s research and supporting families navigating this devastating disease. It is a place for guidance, strength, and connection, so no one facing this journey feels lost or alone. It is her fire, her wisdom, her devotion — carried forward. And now, it is her turn to shine. 💛

Looking back, I can see the changes were happening long before I was ready to face them. My grandmother had Alzheimer’s too. I remember walking through it with her. And yet, when it began happening to my own mother, I didn’t recognize the advanced signs as quickly as I wish I had. Not because I didn’t care — but because I didn’t know how to address it. And if I’m being honest, I never wanted to make my mom feel shame.

I asked her if she would eventually forget me. She answered, “Yes.” Sitting in the backseat of her Mercedes on a Tuesday afternoon on Santa Monica Boulevard, I was completely unprepared for that truth.
We’ve partnered with Printify to create a collection of apparel and goods designed to spark conversations. Every purchase goes directly toward our foundation’s mission to fund Alzheimer’s research and patient care.
